An abundance of wow dresses graced the red carpet Sunday night and what impressed me most was the decrease in play it safe gowns. Strapless dresses were a popular choice on the night and there was no shortage of colour; even in the adorned jewels.

1.  Not for the first time Sarah Jessica Parker inspired me by elegantly carrying off a subtle lemon tone Chanel Couture dress.  With a statement silver embellished neckline, her accessories are low key; consisting of stacked silver bracelets, jeweled earrings and in true SJP style a matching neck tie.

2.  For me Rachel McAdams wearing Elie Saab Couture stood out amongst everybody on the red carpet and the award stage.  I positively adore her choice of gown; with its soft floaty fabric and gentle watercolour print - she made looking sooo fabulous look sooo easy.

3.  Cameron Diaz turned many a head when she arrived in Oscar de la Renta - This bejeweled gown adored the lights and her soft feminine hair style was true Holly Wood Glamour.

4.  A romantic Elie Saab Haute Couture gown in pale dusty pink delicately draped Anna Kendrick.  She eloquently portrayed an image of girlish femininity.

5.  Nicole Richie took a risk with a beaded Reem Acra gown but she definitely pulls it off.  A retro feel combined with a plunging back, keeps the dress young while oozing sex appeal.  Her hair is kept simple and her smokey eyes carry through the sexiness of the dress.

6.  How does she do it, is Demi Moore beginning to look younger than Ashton Kutcher? I love the softness of this tiered Atelier Versace gown.  The romantic blush hue compliments Demi’s skin tone giving her a dazzling feminine glow.
